My Japan Vision is Francesco Serafini's personal photographic interpretation of Japan.
Far from the traditional postcards and familiar images of Japan, Serafini explores the country through everyday moments: people, streets, gestures, contradictions, humour and unexpected situations.
His photography is spontaneous and instinctive. Through snapshots and street photography, he looks for those brief moments that reveal something about Japanese society and its constantly changing identity.
Tokyo becomes a living playground: traditional and contemporary Japan coexist side by side, creating a visual dialogue between past and future.
The photographs are predominantly presented in black and white, giving the images a timeless quality while emphasising expressions, gestures, architecture and everyday life.
My Japan Vision is not a guide to Japan. It is one photographer's personal relationship with Japan.
